Pastor's Bible Study!
Beginning Wednesday July 5th we will be studying the book of James. We will meet every Wednesday at 1:00 and 6:00 PM in the Hope Class room. Study guides are available at the welcome center.
Friday, July 7th, is on-your-own.
We’ll provide some conversation starters. Maybe you can have a nice dinner out or just a glass of wine on the back porch after the kids are in bed. Do whatever works for you.
On Saturday, we’ll gather together in the morning for breakfast, discussion, and fellowship.
We’ll end with lunch. Again, make this work for your schedule.
If you need to come late or leave early no worries.
Mark your calendar for July 7th and 8th. Contact Leslie (email@example.com) or John Gotwald (firstname.lastname@example.org) to receive materials and more detail closer to the weekend.
For her retirement, the York District will gift Pastor Cathy by ask-ing local churches to make contributions to First UMC’s Haiti minis-try. You are invited to make a personal contribution to that gift to augment the gift the church will be making. Mark your check memo or cash envelope with “Haiti Gift for Cathy.”
Safe Sanctuary Monitor Needed - We need an additional Monitor/Romer on Sunday mornings to walk the halls during Sunday School hour as part of our Safe Sanctuaries ministry. If you are Safe Sanctuaries trained, or willing to be and have secured your clearances or are willing to secure them and serve, please contact Pastor Steve at email@example.com or 717-873-6626.
Service Opportunity- Trustees are looking to volunteers to mow the lawns at the church and trim once a week. Volunteers must be 18 years. Contact Doug Davis firstname.lastname@example.org
Memorial Stone - We have decided to contract with Shull-Koontz Memorials for a granite stone and bronze plaque to memorialize those interned on our grounds. The estimated total cost is $11,500, of which $8000 has already been given. If you would like to donate to this project, please put your donation in a plain envelope marked Cemetery Memorial.
Important Note regarding upcoming events- If you are planning a church event, please contact Stacey in the church office so that we can coordinate all events in the church and are not overlapping ministries. Thank you!
Please contact the church about hospitalizations as we no longer are contacted when parishioners are hospitalized.
