We would be seeking other adults to join as well who might be willing to participate with us and drive through the week. If you'd like more information, please contact Collin.
Sign ups for the Impact Festival (July 24-28) are available now! Students in 6th-12th grades who would like to participate may sign up by contacting Collin, or by signing up in the youth room. Ticket prices are $100 if you pay before May 1, and increase to $140 after that time. We never want cost to be a hurdle for participating in an event. If this presents any issue to you, please contact Collin. Thank you!

Special SPRC Announcement

Pastor Steve will be retiring this summer. While he prepares for this next step in his journey, FUMC as a whole will also be in a season of preparation as we prepare to welcome our new Pastor on July 1, 2024. With joy and anticipation, we share the name of our incoming pastor who has been appointed by the Susquehanna Conference to FUMC effective July 1st, Pastor Mark Terwilliger. He is currently serving at Asbury United Methodist Church in York, PA. Pastor Mark is a Pennsylvania native who also spent many of his formative years in Latin America. His educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Music from Ithaca College and a Master of Divinity Degree from Boston University School of Theology.

Pastor Mark and his wife, Phyllis, have two grown sons who are both married and one granddaughter. They enjoy gardening, bicycling, kayaking, hiking, and disc golf. Aside from serving at Asbury York and enjoying a wide array of hobbies, the couple is also involved in the United Methodist Creation Care ministry.

As we embark on this transition journey together, on behalf of SPRC, I encourage you to be in prayer for Pastor Steve and Pastor Mark, along with their families. Additionally, please be in prayer for First Church and Asbury York, as both congregations prepare for the changes that lie ahead this summer. As we get closer to July, more information will be shared regarding how you can offer additional support and encouragement to all during the transition.

Pastor's Bible Study Wednesday's at 1pm and 6pm

A Study on Galatians is happening now. We switch to a Lenten Study from February 21-March 27.

LENT

ASH WEDNESDAY

On Ash Wednesday, the Family Life Center will have the prayer labyrinth and other prayer stations set up throughout the day for your use! We invite you to come into the church and pray through these stations. They will be available for you to go through (alone or with your whole family!) from 8:00am to 6:00pm on February 14.

Pray Through Lent

After Ash Wednesday, these prayer stations will be set up in the Lounge throughout Lent for your use. This “Prayer Closet” will have several guided activities with the goal of deepening your prayer life during this season.

We invite you to pray with us, not just during Lent, but always!

1 Thessalonians encourages us to “rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.

May we make this season one full of prayer, joy, and gratitude for all God has done and will continue to do for us.

Marriage Check-In:
